Assessment of ground conditions and recommendations for Defining Parameters of the Hydroelectric Belo Horizonte.

Geophysical exploration of ground by measuring surface waves by using Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) and Microtremor Array Measurement (MAM) methods through which power of the layers was determined with the interpretation of shear S wave (Vs) speeds of the materials conforming the ground.

Geophysical exploration by electrical methods which consisted in conducting field exploration by tomography power, by which the variation of physical property called electrical resistivity was obtained regarding the length and depth of a specific area.

The geophysical exploration determined the propagation velocity of Vs of land in the study area using MASW tests and MAM which allow to obtain dimensional profiles of Vs waves.

Special Chavimochic Project - III Stage, La Libertad, Peru

Conduct field exploration by geophysical soundings using seismic and electrical methods, as part of the project: "Geophysical Research Palo Redondo dam - Stage III Chavimochic Special Project ".

The geophysical evaluation was performed by ground exploration using seismic refraction testing and electrical tomography testing, whereby the power of the layers was determined following the interpretation of P wave (Vp) velocities and the resistivity values respectively.

Further tests following Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) methods and Microtremor Array Measurement (MAM) were performed to obtain a velocity profile of S waves (Vs), the same that allow to properly calibrate seismic refraction lines executed. These tests allow to analyze dynamic and electrical subsurface properties getting seismic profiles as well as electrical bidemiensional profiles.

Seismic geophysical exploration was carried out in order to determine the propagation velocity of Vp and the propagation velocity of the Vs of the study area, by testing surface seismic refraction by measuring Vp and MAM and MASW tests for profiles Vs waves, values ​​that will let determine the thicknesses of the layers in the area and the dynamic soil parameters.

The geophysical exploration was carried out in order to determine the propagation velocity of S waves (Vs) on the survey area by using MASW and MAM methods. Profiles of S waves values ​​were obtained letting determine the thickness of the layers in the area where buildings will be located in Chinchero International Airport.

Geophysical study using Bidimensional Electric Tomography, GPR, MASW and MASW-2D methods for regrowth of tailings deposit No 3".

Geophysical ground exploration conducted through Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) and two-dimension (MASW 2D) methods, through which the power of the layers was determined following the interpretation of S waves (Vs) speed of the material which forms the ground.

The geophysical evaluation also involved field exploration through electrical tomography tests from which resistivity values ​​of the area were determined to visualize the electrical properties of the subsurface.

Vs waves propagation velocity calculation in the study areas by executing MASW tests which enable obtain one-dimensional profiles of Vs and 2D MASW tests for obtaining two-dimensional Vs profiles.

The objective is the development of the definitive study at technical level for the construction of Pachitea bridge and respective access.

The Pachitea bridge is 356m long, has a 14.25m wide board, a constant depth along the entire length of the bridge and extradosed stiffening, forming four pairs of rigid steel straps with a troncopiramidal section, two of them sustaining the main span of 180m and the other two, anchored to the side spans of 88m span.

The cross-section comprises two longitudinal side drawers to which straps are attached, with 3.5m thick, 1.3m wide, interconnected by transverse beams separate each 4m, with variable depth from 0.82m to 1m.

The evaluation consisted in geophysical exploration procedure of field trials by seismic refraction, MASW 2D through which the power of the layers and the interpretation of speeds P (Vs) waves and S (Vs) waves were determined besides the evaluation of dynamic parameters within the field.

The geophysical evaluation also involved conducting field exploration by tests of electrical tomography, whereby the values ​​of resistivity and chargeability of the area were determined to visualize the electrical properties of the subsurface.

Analysis of the physical stability of reinforced soil retaining wall located in the area of ​​primary crusher within the Toquepala project.

The analysis of the physical stability is based on information from results of laboratory tests made by JJC General Contractors SA and parameter information of the wall by Freyssinet Tierra Armada Peru SAC who undertook the analysis and design of the wall of reinforced soil.

The present study aims to verify the physical stability of reinforced soil wall and the stresses and strains that occur in the soil foundation, for this purpose a Geotechnical finite elements algorithm was used.
